In Your Sky, Don’t Miss!

What to look for in the Night Sky by Stargazer Steve

MARCH 13 After Midnight: Tonight’s Lunar Eclipse (early hours of Friday March 14) Begins with very subtle Penumbral shading of the Moon at 1:09 AM EDT, but the interesting “bite out of the Moon” by the darker Umbal Shadow starts at 2:26 AM and lasts until 3:32 SM.  The best red darkening and shading of the Moon will occur around 3:00 AM.
